Prestige Imports Junior Team Riders join USA Cycling By: Eric Short Sam Fogel will join team USA at the 2015 UCI Junior Track World Championships and team mates Jackson Hootman, Kenny Boots, Max Huddleston, and Will McBryde join USA Cycling & Team USA at the Colorado Junior Challenge Denver, Colorado: The goal of the Prestige Imports Junior Development Team has always been to give opportunities to talented junior riders who want to take their competitive cycling to the next level. Sam Fogel and his team mates, Jackson Hootman, Kenny Boots, Max Huddleston, and Will Mcbryde, have made good on that goal by working hard and being chosen to join Team USA. Sam Fogel will be representing Team USA & USA Cycling at the 2015 UCI Junior Track World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan. He will ride in the Kerin, Match Sprint, and Team Sprint events. Hootman, Boots, Huddleston, and Mcbryde were selected to represent Team USA & USA Cycling at the Colorado Junior Challenge. Justin Adis, General Manager of Prestige Imports and an enthusiastic cyclist, said, "This is at the heart of why we have a junior team." According to Adam Zimmerman, team coach and co-founder, the Prestige Imports Junior Development Team is a pipeline to the professional ranks. He stated, "I have a true passion to grow the sport of competitive cycling and it all starts with junior development. Working with juniors is challenging but also quite fun as you see their progression through the ranks each season." Sam Fogel added, "This season has been a positive learning experience for me. Through the support of our development team and the guidance from my coach I have been able to race and compete against some of the best riders in the country. Being chosen to represent Team USA Cycling and Prestige Imports at the Junior World Championships is a great honor." Eric Short, team director, and Adam Zimmerman began the junior development program in conjunction with the Prestige Imports Masters Team two years ago. The 2014 roster had 12 juniors and the 2015 roster grew to 16 juniors. Last year the team had 40+ podium placings, four Colorado State Championship titles, and one of the juniors, Maxl Freeman was selected to represent Team USA in Europe, racing in Belgium and the Netherlands. The team was also the number one ranked junior team in the state of Colorado. This year, the team has already reached 40+ podium placings and has had several team members win great awards: Will Mcbryde took 4th at the USA Cycling National Championship Road Race Kenny Boots was 6th at the USA Cycling National Championship Time Trial Stephen Hass was chosen to race with a European junior composite team in August Multiple podium placings at the San Dimas Stage Race where the team won the King of the Mountain jersey and placed 4th and 5th in the general classification Additional Resources: World Junior Championships Colorado Junior Challenge



Victor de la Parte Stage Victory at Tour of Austria


What a day! The Spaniard Victor de la Parte took victory in the first serious mountain stage on Dobratsch. He has also taken the overall mountains classification jersey with the victory and now ranks in second place in the overall standings. On the longest stage of this year's Tour of Austria, Stage 5 featured 208 kilometers with more than 3500 meters in altitude. The stage was set for an exciting finale.
