05/19/14 - Profile Design Stars Reign Over Texas

Profile Design Stars Reign Over Texas It was a star-studded shoot-out in Texas this Saturday, with Profile Design Speed Team pro Kelly Williamson and SpeedTeam/TwentyFour pro Julia Gajer-Wagner taking 1st and 2nd place at IRONMAN Texas. Wagner steadily took the lead in the early portion of the bike. By mile 23, she had left the field behind and came into T2 with the fastest bike split of the race leaders. Her 4:53:43 bike split made her one of the only two women of the day to ride under 5 hours. She took off onto the run with a nearly 6-minute lead over Williamson. Williamson’s iconic strategy paid off in the end, and proved once again, that she is a force to be reckoned with on the run. Her roaring 2:54:46 run split sealed her victory, and made her the only woman of the day to run under 3 hours. “I knew I had it in me. I could feel myself, feeling strong,” Williamson shared after the race. Her final time of 8:52:42 sealed her first Iron-distance win. “I was really happy to have such a nice bike,” said Wagner of her 4:53:43 bike split. Roll-over Julia's bike below to check out the Profile Design equipment that helped power Julia’s incredible bike split through The Woodlands.

05/06/14 - SpeedTeam Pro Kate Bevilaqua Takes Busso Title

SpeedTeam Pro Kate Bevilaqua Takes Busso Title Proving to be the superstar that she is, SpeedTeam pro Kate Bevilaqua conquered a loaded field to take the win at Ironman 70.3 Busselton. With two second place finishes in Busso, Kate arrived to the start line thirsty for the win - and took it in spectacular fashion.  Bevilaqua exited the water in second position, and rode solo for most of the day through Busselton’s Tuart Forest. A small group of women caught her with 15K to go on the bike, sending her into T2 alongside two prime competitors. Her rocket ship 1:25:13 run sealed her victory by nearly two minutes.  “I threw caution to the wind and went for it at the beginning of the run, hoping my fitness would allow me to get across the finish line first,” said Bevilaqua. “It did - and I'm over the moon to come away with the top podium position!"
